We, at Gerrard-Hoeschler Realtors are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Dick Dineen.
Dick brought a great deal of knowledge, respect and professionalism to his career in real estate. He was an exemplary individual whose work ethic and quality of service was admired by his peers and clients. Dick always represented Gerrard-Hoeschler with the highest regard for his clients and fellow professionals. He was known for his integrity, hard work, strong competitive spirit, and his ability to get the job done. Dick treated everyone with fairness and respect and was an absolute pleasure to work with.
Dick was a wonderful co-worker and friend to all who knew him and will truly be missed.
Our condolences go to his loving wife Margaret, his children and his entire family.

3rd Annual Gerrard-Hoeschler

U.S. News and World Report names 'La Crosse' a
TOP 10 BEST PLACE TO LIVE
U.S. News & World Report magazine has named La Crosse one of the nation's 10 Best Places to Live, ranking with Albuquerque, NM; Austin, TX; and St. Augustine, FL. Factors included an area's economy, cost of living, population, crime rate, and access to educational, cultural and recreational opportunities.
The story describes La Crosse as "a great staging ground for exploring the natural wonders of the upper Mississippi River," with an "active outdoor culture" that includes camping, hiking, hunting, fishing and skiing. With a 2008 median home sale price of $113,000, it's also an affordable destination, the story said.
The 10 cities on the list are, in alphabetical order:
Albuquerque, NM; Auburn, AL; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Durham, NC; La Crosse, WI; Loveland, CO; San Luis Obispo, CA; St. Augustine, FL; Upper St. Claire, PA, southwest of Pittsburgh.

HUD Secretary Announces
Monetization of Tax Credit
at NAR Real Estate Summit
WASHINGTON, May 12, 2009
Shaun Donovan, secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, said that the
Federal Housing Administration is going to permit its lenders to allow homeowners to use the $8,000 tax credit as a downpayment.

| Shelaine Bennett began her real estate career in 1993 and has won several awards over the years, including Top Lister and Top in Sales. Shelaine was featured in our local River Valley Business Report, as well as several other business publications over the past three years. Shelaine was raised in La Crosse County, on a farm, where she and husband, Duane, still live and enjoy the country life today. She enjoys sailing with her husband, who is a local builder. They are both members of the La Crosse Sailing Club and enjoy the beauty of the lakes and rivers of the Coulee region. She also enjoys horse riding.
